Yuki Morita
Hello, everyone! I want to introduce my favorite café in Tokyo. Do you like to go to a café? If you like it, do you often go there? I go to a café near our school in my free time; about once a week. I love café. With our favorite coffee or tea, we can relax and feel at home. At the café, I sometimes read a book, do my homework, think about something, or do nothing! Most of the cafés are quiet until the lunchtime begins, so we can do something comfortably.
The other day, I met a rare café, "RAMBRE" in Shinjuku. It is called "meikyoku-kissa" in Japanese. We can enjoy the nostalgic, Showa-style atmosphere, listening to classical music.
The café has a long history, over 50 years. The entrance of "RAMBRE" is small, so we tend to think it is a small café. Don't be tricked! It has more than 200 seats underground, in large space! It is not crowded all day, so we can relax there for many hours. The old-fashioned café is rare in a big city, Tokyo. When I go there, I always feel that I am in a different world. I don't know classical music very much, but I like to listen to it, so I recommend it to you, especially who like classical music. The prices of drinks, meals or cakes are cheaper than those of other cafés in Tokyo, I think. How about visting it and enjoying the nostalgic world? It would be fun!
I like to visit a café, so if you know wonderful coffee shop, please tell me about it!

Yuki,
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a nice cafe. I will try to go there after a movie or when I am at Isetan.
By the way, when you go to a cafe in Mejiro next time - I would like to come with you!
Ms. MacGregor
Ms. MacGregor, thank you for your comment! I'm sorry I was late for a reply.
ReplyDeleteI always go to a cafe in my free time, for example, when the classes are canceled suddenly, I go there. So I have no idea when I go there next time. I often go to Doutor in Mejiro at lunch time, so if you happen to me, please speak to!
By the way, you worried about smell like cigarette smoke in Doutor. I also think they hardly separate areas for smokers and non-smokers. However smoking is not allowed in Doutor in Mejiro except in the smoking area upstairs, so don't worry!

Yuki,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the information about the division between smokers and nonsmokers. I will stay downstairs for sure.

Hi, Yuki.
ReplyDeleteThis is Koto Mizunoya of group F.
Do you go to the cafes by yourself ?
I don't go there by myself , maybe just to meet my friends.
I think you know how to spend your free time well.
I'm introducing my favorite cafe,too.
It's Mamma Biscotti's Cafe in Tokyo Disney Sea.
We can get a fresh coffee and delicious breads or sandwiches, and enjoy them at outdoor tables.
